Local annual agricultural trade show, Empire Farm Days, is right around the corner. The 33-year running event is the largest agricultural trade show in the Northeast. This year’s event will be held from Tuesday, August 6 to Thursday, August 8, 2019 located at Rodman Lott and Son Farms, 2973 State Route 414, Seneca Falls, NY.
The trade show will feature new farm implementations, speakers, activities, demonstrations, live animal seminars and information for production farmers and rural living enthusiasts. The event will have more than 600 exhibits filled with the most recent agricultural information to set farmers up for success.
Newly added this year, includes industrial grade hemp production with seminars and a daily demonstration crop walk. You can also expect an Albany update from New York State Assemblywoman and Assembly Agriculture Committee Chair Donna Lupardo, as well as presentations by academic and industry leaders.
Each day will have different speakers presenting research updates, information on growing hemp for fiber and grain production, crop demonstration tours and insight on state efforts to grow the New York hemp industry.
Speakers include Jeff Kostuik, Director of Operations Central Canada, U.S. and International Hemp Genetics International, Main Street Farms owner and co-manager, Allan Gandelman (of Cortland, NY) and Dr. Larry Smart, Cornell Hemp Research Team Leader.
